ZooWhiz is committed to protecting you and your family’s privacy when you visit or use our electronic services, such as product registration or technical support.

By visiting any you hereby agree to all the terms set forth within this Privacy Policy and listed in the Terms & Conditions of Use section.

Collection of information from Children

We do not collect information that allows us to identify children individually. Children creating accounts on ZooWhiz must have their account verified by a parent or guardian before that account becomes fully operational. We do not communicate with children by email nor does ZooWhiz allow children using the system to communicate with us by email.

ZooWhiz does record links between children’s accounts, teachers and parents as nominated by the relevant teacher or parent and the email address of those parents and teachers. ZooWhiz records some of each child’s activity within ZooWhiz. A parent or guardian of that child may contact us to have the information deleted from our records by contacting our Privacy Officer by email or by writing Privacy Officer, EdAlive, PO Box 658, Armidale NSW 2350 Australia.


For the safety of all children ZooWhiz adheres to the USA is Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA). Parents, you can help by spending time online with your children and monitoring your children’s online use. Please help us protect your child’s privacy by instructing them never to provide personal information on this site or any other, or within any software registration process, without your permission.

Quotes from Children

The quotes on this website attributed to children under the age of 13 have not been obtained online and are used with the full knowledge and permission of the child’s parents or teacher. If quoted children’s identities are protected by quoting only their first name and age.

Information collected

When users browse our WebServer logs the following information for statistical purposes: server address, top level domain name (for example .com), pages accessed and downloads, previous site visited, type of browser.

Access to information collected

ZooWhiz will not make any attempt to identify users or their browsing activities. However, in the unlikely event of an investigation, a law enforcement agency or other government agency may exercise its legal authority to inspect our WebServer’s logs.

Use and disclosure of information collected

ZooWhiz will record your email address if you send us a message or fill in a form and identify yourself as being a parent or a teacher and therefore more than 13 years old or older.

Parent’s email addresses: In order to ensure that children younger than 13 years old do not use ZooWhiz without the knowledge and consent of a responsible adult we ask that when registering an account themselves that a child supply ZooWhiz with an email address for a parent or guardian and that that they do so with the consent of that parent or guardian. We will then send an email to this email address asking that you verify the child’s account and grant permission for the child to use ZooWhiz. We will not use such email address for communications other than relating to the validation of the child’s account unless and until you verify the child’s account. By verifying the child’s account you agree to receive ongoing email communications regarding the child’s use of ZooWhiz. You may opt out from receiving such emails at any time however by doing so we will deem it necessary to suspend the operation of the relevant child’s account as we do not allow children to use ZooWhiz without the ongoing supervision and involvement of a responsible adult.

Teacher’s email addresses: Teachers must supply ZooWhiz with an email address as a condition of establishing a ZooWhiz Teacher Account. We will, from time to time communicate with you at this email address in regard to the operation of ZooWhiz and EdAlive. You may opt out from receiving such emails at any time however by doing so we will deem it necessary to suspend the operation of the relevant teacher account and any child accounts linked to it but not linked to a relevant parent’s account.

Any email addresses supplied will only be used or disclosed for the purpose for which you have provided it and it will not be passed on to a third party or disclosed for any other purpose without your consent.

Users are advised that there are inherent risks transmitting information across the Internet.
